JURIDICAL BASIS

- Decision No 864 QĐ/TC dated on August 19, 1978 signed by the Minister of Irrigation (now it is the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development).

- Decision No. 782/QĐ-TTg dated on October 24, 1996 of the Governmental Prime Minister on restructuring agencies of scientific and technological research and application.

- Decision No. 594/QĐ-TTg dated on May 10, 2007 of the Governmental Prime Minister on restructuring the Water Resources Institute and Southern Institute of Water Resources Research.

- Decision No. 55/2008/QĐ-BNN dated on April, 2008 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Southern Institute of Water Resources Research has been the regional Institute directly under the Vietnam Academy for Water Resources.
